How to Update Your Business Information in OnEveryMap

Keeping your business information accurate ensures customers can easily find and contact you.
This guide explains how to review and update your business information directly in the OnEveryMap platform.

Before doing so, please note that changing or updating the primary or secondary categories may trigger Google to require the GBP to be reverified & that the business description is limited to 750 characters.

Step 1 — Log in to OnEveryMap

  1. Open your browser.
  2. Go to https://platform.oneverymap.com/
  3. Enter your login email and password.
  4. Click Log In.

Step 2 — Go to the Location Hub

  1. On the left-hand menu, click Location Hub.
  1. You will see all locations currently managed under your account.

Each location displays:

  • Business name
  • Location completeness score
  • Listing status
  • Review status

Step 3 — Select the Location You Want to Edit

  1. Click the name of the location you wish to update.
  2. The location profile will open.
  1. You will now see editable fields for this location.

Note: Any changes auto-syncs in default

This page shows:

  • Dashboard summary per location
  • Listing connection status
  • Review metrics
  • Performance analytics

Step 4 — Review and Update Business Details

Carefully verify the following information and make corrections where needed.

5.1 Business Name

  • Must match your official brand name.
  • Avoid special symbols or emojis.

5.2 Address

  • Verify building number, street name, city, and postal code.
  • Ensure the Google Maps pin is accurate.

Correct map placement helps:

  • Customers find you easily
  • Google ranking accuracy

5.3 Website

  • Enter your website URL if you have one.
  • Ensure spelling is correct.
  • Use HTTPS if available.

5.4 Phone Number

  • Enter your main business contact number.
  • Avoid private personal numbers.

5.5 Primary Category

Make sure your primary category accurately reflects your business.

Examples:

  • Tutoring Center
  • Language School
  • Learning Center
  • Education Service

5.6 Secondary Categories (If applicable)

Add only relevant secondary categories. Avoid over-categorizing — it may reduce ranking clarity.

5.7 Business Description

Your business description should:

  • Explain what you do
  • Highlight key services
  • Avoid prices, promotions, or emojis

Example:
“We provide personalised tutoring and learning support for children ages 3 to 14. Our programs focus on improving reading, writing, maths, and communication skills.”

5.8 Opening Hours

  • Ensure your hours match your actual operating schedule.
  • Add weekday and weekend hours separately as needed.

Special Opening Hours (Holidays)

For seasonal holidays or temporary closures:

  • Use “Special hours”
  • Do NOT modify normal weekly schedule

5.9 Photos

Upload photos that represent your business well:

  • Logo
  • Exterior of your location
  • Interior/classroom environment
  • Staff (optional, but recommended)

Avoid:

  • Blurry images
  • Poor lighting
  • Highly personal photos

Step 5 — Sync Timing to Online Listings

Once saved, updates will sync to connected directories automatically.

Typical sync timing:

  • Google Business Profile: Within minutes (may take up to 24 hours)
  • Apple Maps: 48–72 hours
  • Directories: Varies based on platform

You can return later to confirm synchronization.
